Objectives:
- Providing a safe space for children to spend their time constructively, away from harmful influences
- Improving physical health, fitness and discipline of marginalized children through regular boxing practice and health education
- Linking boxing with education, psychosocial support and community engagement in a way that transforms children’s self confidence and builds a sense of duty and responsibilities.
- Improving Health and discipline through a sport that teaches respect, self control, resilience and positive social behaviour.
- Inspiring and fostering personal growth and development by combining sport with mentorship, education support and vocational skills
- Promoting social inclusion, integration, youths networking and friendship through a boxing gym opportunity that brings together most disadvantaged children and those from privileged families to share a sports facility that builds and develops them equally regardless of their social and economic background.
- Building boxing role models on the Island to inspire a boxing generation with professional boxing aspirations.
Youths Footballl Project:
The goal of the project is to use football as a tool to empower girls and boys on Ukerewe Island by promoting fitness, discipline and self esteem, fostering friendship and community cohesion and developing skills and create pathways for carrers in football.
